Through Feb. 28. The Royal Gorge Route Railroad served so many passengers last year — a record 115,000, up from 100,000 the previous year — the owners have decided to keep it open through the winter months. Their Winter Weekends Train, which runs Saturdays and Sundays at 12:30 p.m. through Feb. 28, offers the same amenities (club, coach and “Vista Dome” seating options, full meals and bar) as regular daily service, which resumes March 1, but now with snow-dusted views of the Gorge. Two-hour rides depart from the Santa Fe Depot, one block south of U.S. 50 & Third Street in Cañon City. . $34-$49.
