The NFL, as expected, is conducting an ongoing and comprehensive review of al-Jazeera’s allegations that human growth hormone was shipped to the home of Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and that other NFL players took performance-enhancing drugs.
The NFL is working with Major League Baseball and the United States Anti-Doping Agency on its investigation, which is not expected to be completed before Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7.
Manning has vehemently denied taking HGH, a substance banned by the league and illegal to prescribe outside of a select few illnesses. MLB players Ryan Howard and Ryan Zimmerman, alleged by al-Jazeera to have taken PEDs, have filed separate lawsuits against the network for libel and invasion of privacy.
