You know 2016 is off to a weird start when the year’s biggest rap beef is between a washed up rapper / flat Earth truther and a popular astrophysicist.

Yesterday, Atlanta rapper B.o.B. went off on a Twitter spree to tell his 2.3 million followers that the Earth was, in fact, flat:

The rapper even went so far as to coin a term for those who would dare to believe the Earth is round:

The tirade went on for quite awhile, ending right around the time he dropped this unqualified beauty:

Noted astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson took umbrage with B.o.B.’s flat earth agenda, and tried to Tweet some sense into the rapper:

B.o.B. fired back this morning, releasing the diss track “Flatline” that not only called Tyson out for being paid by NASA and the Department of Defense to propagate his controversial round-Earth theory, but also inexplicably tips his listeners to “do research” on infamous Holocaust denier David Irving:

Now, the astrophysicist has taken to Soundcloud with a diss track of his own. Enlisting rapper Tyson, which is DeGrasse’s nephew, “Flat to Fact” is a re-worked version of Drake’s recent diss track-turned-hit single, “Back to Back.” Tyson has nothing on B.o.B.’s flow, but his words make a hell of a lot more sense:

“What about the change in season? / The planet spins around the sun, do you need more reasons?”

“Please, check ’em for a wire or an earpiece / please, is Donald Trump the one feedin you these / stupid bits of information that keeps you on your knees / I know we got freedom of speech but Bobby, please”

and our personal favorite:

“Can’t fool the people, B.o.B., they know what’s up / I’m in the Haydn Planetarium gettin shoulder rubs”
