1 Stoned in the park. An officer on routine patrol Jan. 17 at Lake Arbor Park at Pomona Drive and Harlan Court, Arvada, stopped to talk to two people sitting in a parked car after the park had closed. The couple admitted to smoking marijuana after the officer asked about the strong odor. They were ticketed for public consumption.

2 Garage fight. A man was attacked by his girlfriend’s female friend when he stepped into his garage in the 5400 block of Jellison Street, Arvada, on Jan. 7 to smoke a cigarette. Police went to the woman’s house to serve a summons.

3 Shoplifter nabbed. Police tracked down a man who fled Jan. 15 from the King Soopers at 12350 W. 64th Ave., Arvada, when a security guard tried confronting him about a notebook he stuffed in his pockets. He was ticketed for theft.

4 Unwelcome tickets. A man who received four traffic camera tickets in the mail reported to police Jan. 18 that the photos were not of him driving or his vehicle. He said his licence plates had recently been stolen from his home in the 11300 block of West52nd Place, Arvada.

5 Gun pulled. Police were unable to locate the vehicle of a man who had pulled a gun on another motorist near the intersection of West 64th Avenue and Carr Street in Arvada on Jan. 20 and said “you wanna do something, fool?” before speeding off. The two vehicles had flashed their brights at each other earlier.

6 Mock harassment. Police chose not to file harassment charges on a woman who told her neighbor “you’re nothing but trouble” Jan. 19 in the 7300 block of West 84th Way, Arvada.
