1 Convenience store creeper arrested. A man was arrested Jan. 26 in the 30000 block of Squaw Pass Road, Evergreen, for soliciting sex from a convenience store employee. The victim reported that the man purchased chewing tobacco, then entered the store’s office and said something sexually suggestive. She asked him to leave, and he suggested they have sex outside. Police identified the suspect using transaction information and arrested him at his home. (Not on map.)

2 Whipple Tree robbed on last day. The manager of the Whipple Tree, 1338 Colorado 65, Evergreen, reported Jan. 30 that the restaurant’s sign was missing. He said that over the past week, patrons had tried to steal pictures from the walls of the restaurant because Jan. 30 was its last day of operation. He suspected someone stole the sign for a similar reason.

3 Cyclists, motorist clash. Two cyclists reported Jan. 30 that they were riding on Kerr Gulch Road, Evergreen, when a motorist passed them very closely. One of the cyclists raised her arm at the driver, who then stopped his vehicle, got out and engaged them in a confrontation. Deputies contacted the motorist, but no charges were filed because neither account of the harassment could be verified.

4 Resident asks his yard not be used as a toilet. A resident of the 600 block of Garden St., Golden, showed police surveillance footage of a female urinating in his front yard Jan. 23. He suspected it was someone attending a college-age party nearby and did not want to press charges, but for police to tell the residents to not use his yard as a toilet.
