
1 Belmar troublemaker. Belmar security called police Jan. 27 to report a man who caused a previous disturbance in the area. The suspect was found at the King Soopers at 7984 W. Alameda Ave. in Lakewood. After being arrested for outstanding warrants, officers found methamphetamine in his pocket.
2 Window vandal returns. The owner of Sheridan Liquors, 1295 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, told police that overnight Jan. 27, someone smashed his store window with a rock. He said the same window had just been replaced from a previous incident.
3 DUI bathroom break. A homeowner in the 400 block of South Fenton Street in Lakewood called police Jan. 28 to report a man urinating in his yard. Police arrested the alleged trespasser on DUI and other charges.
4 Car full of trouble. Police arrested a woman on two outstanding warrants Jan. 28 near the 800 block of Kipling Street in Lakewood. She faced additional charges of driving a stolen vehicle, possessing stolen ID cards and introduction of contraband after officers found a meth pipe in her bra at the Jefferson County jail.
5 Goodwill burglary. A manager of Goodwill, 1450 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, told police Jan. 26 that someone broke into a storage trailer the night before and ripped apart boxes looking for merchandise. She estimated a $900 loss.
6 Blame it on the dog. Police located a man walking his dog that witnesses earlier reported being drunk while driving Jan. 30 near U.S. 285 and Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood. The man said people reported him because they didn’t like his dog. He was arrested.
