Getting your player ready...

Not everyone expected the Denver Broncos to bring home the Vince Lombardi trophy for their Super Bowl 50 win, but their fans turned out a million strong on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 to show the love.

The parade through downtown Denver featured firetrucks galore loaded with Broncos players, wives, cheerleaders, staff, coaches and that very impressive trophy. Fans thronged dozens deep along 17th Avenue and hundreds crowded onto Broadway barricades as the column slowly made its way to Civic Center Park.

The celebration began in earnest as officials got their speeches out of the way and John Elway, Von Miller, Coach Gary Kubiak and Peyton Manning were each called to say a few words to their faithful fans. Each indicated appreciation for the devotion and loyal support.

Flames shot up periodically and the crowd’s roar was at times overwhelming. Finally, orange balloons were released to float merrily away. But fans lingered, enjoying the sunshine and the moment.
