A suspect has been named in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found during a welfare check, Denver police said Monday.
Jerimiah Halsey, 35, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of first-degree murder after an incident in the 3400 block of Park Avenue West, according to a Denver Police Department media release.
The incident came to light Sunday when Halsey flagged down a Denver Fire Department crew at a Wheat Ridge grocery store and said he had hurt someone, police said.
Wheat Ridge police responded, interviewed Halsey and notified Denver police of a possible crime at a Denver residence. Denver police then and found a woman’s body.
The name of the victim will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
