DENVER, CO - FEBRUARY 18: Philip Keppeler walks with his daughter, Sabine, and their dog, Ginger, on Severn Place near the intersection at Monaco on Thursday, February 18, 2016. The lack of sidewalk adjacent to the roadway left the trio with one option Ð walk on the street. Denver leaves both responsibility and liability to adjacent property owners for maintaining and building sidewalks, which has many neighborhoods lacking consistent walkways.

Front Range residents will bask in mostly sunny weather with gradually climbing temperatures through the weekend, according to forecasters.

Brisk southwest winds will push the high temperature up to 50 degrees at Denver International Airport on Wednesday, forecasters predict.

By Saturday, the high could reach 67 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Along with the sunshine, winds from the southwest will range from 7 to 14 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, according to the NWS.

Temperatures will rise in the Denver metro area to 49 on Thursday, and 57 on Friday.

The next chance for snow in the mountains is Saturday, said NWS meteorologist Kyle Fredin.

Not much snow is expected though, Fredin said.

Sunday temperatures will dip to 58 degrees before storm clouds enter the state on Monday.

There is a slight chance for rain and snow on Monday night and Tuesday and Wednesday in the Denver metro area.

“That’s probably our next weather maker. It’s too early to tell how significant it will be,” Fredin said.
