One lane, in each direction, of Thursday.
The highway department anticipates it will take another month before the affected Western Slope stretch of I-70 is full repaired and reopened.
On Friday, the office of U.S. Senator Michael Bennet announced the emergency funding relief.
“These emergency funds are crucial to help CDOT quickly repair this busy stretch of I-70,” Bennet said in a media release. “We will continue to work with CDOT to ensure it has the resources it needs to repair the road and restore access to Glenwood Canyon.”
