The Denver Broncos acquired quarterback Mark Sanchez Friday from the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional 2017 draft pick.

On Nov. 22, 2012, the Jets hosted AFC East rival New England on Thanksgiving Day. The Patriots would win the game 49-19, but what would be remembered was the now infamous “Butt Fumble.”

Early in the second quarter with the Patriots up 14-0, New York’s Sanchez was under center at their own 31-yard line. After a fake hand-off, Sanchez took off on a scramble. Unfortunately he slammed his face right into the posterior of his own right guard Brandon Moore.

The impact caused Sanchez to fumble the ball, which was picked up by Patriots’ Steve Gregory for a touchdown.
