Rapids’ striker Kevin Doyle was removed from the Republic of Ireland’s international friendly against Switzerland on Friday with an apparent injury.
“Doyle is down in a heap after clutching his knee following that challenge on Schar. He signifies that he needs to come off. And this is a stretcher job. Oh dear,” .
The initial reports from the stadium were not optimistic.
