ASPEN — White River National Forest officials are seeking public comment on proposed offseason features at the Snowmass ski area.

The Aspen Daily News reports that the Aspen Skiing Co. is proposing a mountain coaster, zipline, canopy tours, challenge course, climbing wall, and expanded hiking and mountain biking trails during the offseason.

White River National Forest officials have released an environmental impact statement on the proposal. Forest supervisor Scott Fitzwilliams says the recreation projects will be located in the resort’s special-use permit area. A public open house is scheduled on April 7 to discuss the environmental impact statement.
