Denver police are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident in which a person was seriously injured near the Auraria Campus early Thursday morning.
The westbound lanes of Colfax Avenue are closed at Mariposa Street because of the collision, according to a 6:46 a.m. Denver police tweet.
Denver police recommend that commuters take an alternate route to work.
The condition of the pedestrian who was struck were not released.
