In this Sept. 25, 2015, file photo, a customer tries out an iPhone at an Apple store in Chicago. The FBI says it has unlocked an iPhone used by one of the San Bernardino shooters. (Kiichiro Sato, Associated Press)

Re: FBI should tell Apple how it unlocked iPhone, March 31 editorial.

Your editorial says the FBI should tell Apple how it unlocked the iPhone belonging to one of the San Bernardino terrorists so Apple can patch its security weakness.

This reminds me of the Little Red Hen story. When the Little Red Hen asked who will help her sow the wheat, she got no offers for help. Likewise when she asked for help threshing, grinding the wheat and baking the bread. When it came to eating the bread, here came all the animals for their share.

And now comes Apple, too, with egg on its face, after having refused to help the FBI unlock the phone.

However, for the security of Apple s customers, the FBI should share.
