
Sunny skies will prevail until the tail end of the weekend in the Denver metro area.
The high temperature will range from the low to high 60s Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
By opening day at Coors Field the temperature is expected to rise to 68 degrees.
“It looks very nice,” said Scott Entrekin, NWS meteorologist.
It will remain breezy but not quite as much on Wednesday as it was Tuesday.
Steady winds of between 10 to 15 mph are expected Wednesday, with gusts up to 21 mph.
On Tuesday, a wind gust at Rocky Flats in Jefferson County was recorded at 65 mph, and across the metro area gusts were recorded in the 50 to 60 mph range, Entrekin said.
Between 3 to 6 inches of snow fell Tuesday in the mountains of Colorado.
The high on Saturday will be near 71 degrees, under mostly sunny skies. The low temperature Saturday night will be 44 degrees.
Sunday will start off sunny with temperatures rising to 67, but clouds will build during the afternoon and it could rain in the evening, according to the NWS.
Rain may turn to snow on Monday. The high temperature will drop to the low 50s.
By Tuesday, temperatures are expected to rebound, with a high near 61 degrees.
