Family Fun: New clothes for a new children’s theater

Through April 30. Gullible emperors and the leaders they symbolize will never go out of style, nor will Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” which debuted as a children’s stage production at Golden’s new Miners Alley Playhouse in February and runs through April 30. Writer-director Rory Pierce, who has been working on Colorado children’s stage productions for nearly 30 years, helped form Miners Alley after the closure of Golden’s Heritage Square Music Hall, and on “Emperor’s” he is joined by one of his Heritage co-stars, Alex Crawford. 1 p.m. Saturdays through April 30 at 1224 Washington Ave. Tickets: $10 via 303-935-3044 or .
