
It’s kite-flying weather in the Denver metro area on Thursday.
It will be breezy enough for lift off, but not windy enough to break a string. Steady winds in the 5 to 15 mph range, with gusts up to 23 mph, are expected.
And the high temperature is expected to be a pleasant 64 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Friday, opening day for the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, will be a bit warmer and sunny, with a high of 66 degrees.
Wind speeds will taper off into the single digits on Friday in the Denver area.
The low temperature Friday night is expected to be in the low 40s.
On Saturday, the NWS predicts the Denver area will peak at 70 degrees.
There is a good chance of rain showers — 40 percent — on Sunday afternoon. Still, the high is expected to reach 66 degrees.
It is expected to rain before midnight Sunday. Afterward, there is a chance of snow, according to the NWS.
There is a slight chance of rain and snow Monday before noon. Any snow will turn to rain after noon. It will be mostly cloudy with a high near 55 degrees.
There will still be a slight chance of showers on Tuesday under partly sunny skies, when the high will climb to 63 degrees.
By Wednesday, it is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high of 68.
