Colorado State University police have determined that an assault reported at the CSU track field last month did not actually occur.
A woman claiming to be the victim reported the attack to police on March 28, saying it occurred near the campus’ Jack Christiansen Memorial Track, police said Monday. The alleged victim offered a description to police that included her attacker’s clothing and the type of vehicle he was driving, as well as facial injuries she said she inflicted on him.
Police said they were continuing their investigation and would not say if the woman is a CSU student or whether she will be charged with filing a false report.
