With a , the Colorado Rapids are watching the weather ahead of their Saturday night match against New York Red Bulls.

“We are monitoring the situation,” a Rapids spokesman told The Denver Post. “Fans should stay close to our social media channels for any updates.”

The National Weather Service says there’s a 90 percent chance of precipitation during the day Saturday in Commerce City, with 3 to 7 inches of accumulation possible. The high is expected to reach 36 degrees with 16- to 20-mph winds out of the north and gusts up to 30 mph.

On Saturday night, the weather service calls for a low of 31 degrees with blustery winds out of the north northwest at 10 to 15 mph, gusting up to 23 mph. The chance of precipitation remains at 90 percent with another 3 to 7 inches of accumulation possible.

The game, which is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, could mark the Rapids debut of U.S. national team star Jermaine Jones, who served .

Coincidentally, the only other game Jones has played in Colorado was the World Cup qualifying match between the U.S. and Costa Rica at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in 2013. That game was nicknamed the “SnowClasico” because .
