The Denver Public Schools’ annual “Shakespeare Festival” kicks it up a notch this year with an “After-Fest” bringing together a long list of regional performers in the name of The Bard. City students start things off at 10:45 a.m. with mini-plays on 14 stages across the Denver Performing Arts Center. Then, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m., groups like the Black Actor’s Guild, PHAMALY and the Catamounts Company take over with their versions. There’s art, music from DeVotchKa’s Tom Hagerman and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, and more and it’s all free. DPAC is at 14th and Curtis streets. .
