
Sunshine will visit the the metro area on Wednesday, but another storm system is expected to settle in on Thursday, bringing clouds, rain and snow showers, through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
“It is going to be a mix of sun, and clouds, then a little bit of snow and rain, a little mixed bag,” Scott Entrekin, NWS meteorologist, said.
Wednesday will be partly sunny, with a high of 55, and a 20 percent chance of rain after 2 p.m.
Thursday will be cloudy in Denver, with a chance of showers and possibly thunderstorms.
The from early Thursday to late Friday for the Front Range mountains and foothills in north central Colorado. Snow is expected to begin in the mountains late Thursday, with 10 to 20 inches accumulation possible by Friday night.
On Friday in Denver, rain and snow showers in the morning, are expected to morph into rain in the afternoon.
The forecast for Saturday and Sunday are similar.
Snow is expected in the mountains during the same period.
