
Members of the in Colorado may be best served by staying in their home state, according to a survey released Monday by WalletHub.

WalletHub’s methodology included weighing metrics such as the number of entry-level jobs per 100,000 people; median-income growth rate; unemployment rate; entrepreneurial activity; percentage of population with a bachelor’s degree; median annual income; percentage of the population aged 25 to 34 years old; and projected population growth.
Each metric was given a value between 0 and 100, and the cities’ overall scores were calculated using the weighted average of the 17 metrics, WalletHub officials said.
The top five were: Salt Lake, with a total score of 69.56; Denver, at 65.27; Austin, Texas, at 64.37; Sioux Falls, S.D., at 63.85; and Minneapolis, at 62.67.
Other large Colorado cities to make the list include: Aurora, which ranked 33rd with a score of 55.68, and Colorado Springs, which ranked No. 46 with a score of 53.37.
