Two years after naming Colorado State as one of his final five college choices out of high school, Robbie Berwick is joining the Rams men’s basketball program.
The 6-foot-4 guard transferred to CSU, Rams coach Larry Eustachy announced Tuesday, after spending the last two years at Florida State.
“We are extremely thrilled that Robbie is joining the program,” Eustachy said in a news release. “We recruited him out of high school and thought he could be a top-five player in the league before he graduated.”
Berwick, 20, appeared in 33 games, three as a starter, for the Seminoles in his freshman year. He missed the 2015-16 season due to injury.
“I think this is a great place for a new start for him,” Eustachy said. “We have high hopes that is past him and he could end up being one of the top players in the league.”
A native of Atascadero, Calif., Berwick received all-state honors his senior year at Atascadero High School.
