One woman was shot and a second one stabbed in Denver in separate incidents early Sunday.
After shots were fired in the Montbello neighborhood near East 50th Avenue and Chambers Road at about 2 a.m., police found a woman suffering a gunshot wound to the arm, said Tyrone Campbell, police spokesman.
Not long after that, shots were fired in the 4500 block of Fullerton Court, and again at Andrews Drive and Granby Way. The locations are close to the site where the victim was found, and police think they are connected, Campbell said.
“It’s a small area,” he said.
The shooting does not appear to be connected to an incident Saturday at East Colfax Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, Campbell said. One person was shot in the arm near a Conoco station at about 2:35 p.m.
Also at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the 4500 block of High Street and found a woman who had been stabbed. Police took another woman into custody, Campbell said.
