This weekend’s family-friendly , the state’s third version of San Francisco’s own annual event, is more than just a meet-up for inventors, tinkerers and problem-solvers of every stripe. While the two-day confab looks to educate and inspire students and young entrepreneurs with more than 100 exhibits — think art cars, robots, custom musical instruments, coding and more — itap also a testament to the success of this DIY movement, since founder Elise VanDyne (executive director of the Colorado Maker Hub) has been chosen to for the 2016 National Week of Making later this month. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 11-12 at The Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 Colorado Blvd. $5 for members or $15-$20 for nonmembers. 303-370-6000 or .
