It’s one thing to passionately belt out your favorite jams on karaoke night over at your on a Tuesday night. It’s another to belt out said tune with the actual artist.
Such is the life for one of Broomfield’s most prominent karaoke entertainers. You might remember retired aerospace engineer John Hetlinger from his glorious rendition of Drowning Pool’s ominous hit, “Bodies,” on “America’s Got Talent” last month.

Last week, Hetlinger got the call to the big leagues when called him up as a guest vocalist to riff on the song at Chicago’s Open Air Music Festival.
Needless to say, the “America’s Got Talent” contestant nailed the audition. So much in fact he was invited to the next gig in Mansfield, Ohio the following day.
