Getting the most out of this year’s sprawling pop-culture celebration, which is expected to draw more than 100,000 fans to the Colorado Convention Center June 17-19, means knowing what you want to spend your time on, where it is, how to get there and (perhaps most important) what to do when you’re there.
Here are a few tips for navigating the fifth annual Con, a production of the nonprofit Denver-based that has quickly ballooned into the third-largest comics, TV, film and gaming event in the country.
TICKETS
Lines and crowds are a given, as are sold-out events. Three-day passes for the Con have already disappeared, but as of this writing single-day tickets for Friday and Sunday are still available ($8.25 for kids, $38.50-$44 for adults). Sunday will likely sell out too, since celebrity guests Jeffrey Dean Morgan (“The Walking Dead”), Gregg Clark (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), Camren Bicondova (“Gotham”) and Paul Wesley (“Vampire Diaries”) are appearing Sunday only. After buying tickets, guests will need to exchange them for a badge at the Convention Center. .
