The Nuggets added three players in the first round and one in the second round of the 2016 NBA draft. Here’s a look:

Jamal Murray, No. 7 overall

Murray, a  6-foot-4 guard from University of Kentucky, led the Wildcats in scoring, averaging 20 points per game, a school record for a freshman.

Originally from Kitchener, Ontario, Murray played  for Team Canada during the 2015 Pan Am Games, averaging 16 points, which was good for fifth in the tournament, to help Canada win the silver medal.

In high school, Murray was named MVP of the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, Ore. He competed on the world select team against the U.S. junior national select team and scored a game-high 30 points. His teammates included Ben Simmons, the 2016 No. 1 draft pick, and No. 10 pick Thon Maker.

Murray is known for his offensive talent at both guard positions and his ability to create space and score. He has proven to be a mid- and long-range shooter.

Juan Hernangomez, No. 15 overall

Hernangomez, a power forward from Madrid, led Spain in scoring with 14.2 points per game at the 2015 U20 European Championships. He also represented Spain at the 2014 U20 Euros and the 2013 U18 Euros.

This past year while playing for Movistar Estudiantes, a team based in Madrid, Hernangomez averaged 9.8 points, and six rebounds over 24 games. The 2015-16 season was his third with Estudiantes.

He had entered his name in the 2015 draft but withdrew his name from consideration. His brother, Willy, was a 2015 Philadelphia 76ers draftee and their father, Guillermo, played professionally in Spain in the 1980s and ’90s.

At 6-foot-9, Hernangomez is known for his length, his ability to rebound and his ability to stretch the defense with his jumper.

Malik Beasley, No. 19 overall

Beasley played one season at Florida State, earning ACC all-freshman honors. He was named ACC rookie of the week three times. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 15.6 points in 34 games. He was second on the Seminoles in scoring and finished with the second-highest single-season point total by a freshman in school history, with 529 points.

Beasley suffered a stress fracture in his right leg and did not complete team workouts, only interviews.

Petr Cornelie, No. 53 overall

Petr Cornelie was picked up by the Nuggets at No. 53 in the second round of the 2016 NBA draft. The 20-year-old 6-foot-11 power forward, originally from Calais, France, played for Le Mans Sarthe Basket of the French Pro league last season and as of March 21, averaged 8.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.

He played for France at the 2012 U17 Worlds and had a team-high 14 points, four rebounds and two blocks against team USA which featured Jahlil Okafor, Justise Winslow and Stanley Johnson. Before playing for the professional team, Cornelie played for Le Mans’ junior team from 2011-2014.

Cornelie is expected to be a stretch four. His father and mother are both former basketball players and his sister, Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova, played college ball at the University of Dayton.
