
Scary-looking man reported. On June 20, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Shining Oak Drive, Ken-Caryl, on a report of “scary-looking man” knocking on the door. The homeowners called police after the man twice rang the doorbell and was pacing on their porch. Police could not find the man in the area.
Blood, symbol found on playground. A woman called deputies on June 22 to report blood and possibly a satanic symbol on a playground in the 10000 block of West Burgundy Drive in the Littleton area. A deputy discovered that three slides and a climbing wall had a red liquid dripped on them and something on the wall also looked like a circle with a star inside it. He took pictures and notified the Foothills Park and Recreation District.
Large tree branch found next to door. On June 19, a man called deputies to report a tree branch found next to his front door in the 6000 block of West Frost Drive, Columbine (Littleton). The man told deputies he awoke late the night before after hearing a noise, but went back to sleep. The next day, he found the branch by the door, but it appeared to be old and not belonging to any tree in the area.
Man uses nunchucks to relax. Deputies responded to a possible disturbance June 20 in the 6000 block of West Roxbury Place, Columbine (Littleton). Deputies confronted a man in the front yard there who claimed to be holding nunchucks. He dropped the weapon and said he had been in argument with his girlfriend and came outside with the nunchucks to relieve stress. The couple said they would stop arguing and go to sleep.
Tree limbs cause strife. On June 22, a man called deputies to report that his neighbor had harassed him about trimming trees in the 8000 block of South Marshall Court, Columbine (Littleton). The reporting party told police that he called a company to trim his neighbor’s tree limbs that were hanging over into his yard. The neighbor became upset and told him not to touch the other trees. The reporting party took that as a threat and wanted it documented.
