Each time he encountered doubt and pessimism, even the distance seemed overwhelming or when he was hospitalized for hypothermia, the Loveland native found strength in God and in his mission to raise awareness of sex trafficking.
“This has been the biggest thing I’ve ever done in my life,” said Lemke, who after 15 months in the seat of a bicycle named “Sophia” pedaled into Loveland on Saturday.
“I’ve accomplished something bigger than most people will ever do. I say that with a humble heart,” he said. “It was God who gave me the strength to do it.”
