A fire that broke out in a room at the Traveler Inn in Denver was quickly extinguished early Monday morning.

Firefighters were called to the hotel at 4765 Federal Boulevard after a fire alarm sounded at around 4:18 a.m., according to a Denver fire dispatcher.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, there was smoke billowing out of one of the rooms.

The fire was contained to one room and was quickly put out, according to the fire department.

Fire investigators are on scene to determine the cause of the fire.
