It feels only right, then, that the 35-year-old East High School graduate and “Silicon Valley” co-star would announce plans to play his biggest Mile High City shows yet in order to tape his new HBO special — the comic’s first for the network.
Miller’s star has steadily risen in Hollywood following scene-stealing turns in “Deadpool,” “Transformers: Age of Extinction” and even the Denver-bred truTV sitcom Among other projects, Miller is also currently writing and planning to co-star in the film “Ex-Criminals” for DreamWorks.
On Monday, he announced his new stand-up jaunt, The Meticulously Ridiculous Tour, will kick off this summer and culminate in a one-hour HBO special to be produced by Funny Or Die. Miller will perform a pair of sets at downtown’s Paramount Theatre at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16. Mixed media artist and performer Kate Miller will join her husband on the tour, performing “a vaudevillian, dark-humored set to open for T.J.’s shows in select cities,” according to a press release. Comic Nick Vatterott will also open.
