Card clone con. Lone Tree Police investigated a report of credit card fraud that happened on July 4. A woman said she believed her card number had been compromised. Police then found security footage of a man withdrawing hundreds of dollars from an ATM at the Bellco Credit Union at 9220 Park Meadows Drive, Lone Tree, using her card number. Police believe the man used her number to create a “clone” card. It was later denied at other ATMs.

Fake bomb. A man living in the 18900 block of Briargate Lane, Parker, on July 7 reported that he had a bomb in his apartment. The claim was untrue. He was arrested on charges of false reporting, menacing and harassment.

Possible real bomb. A suspect living in the 12600 block of Leesburg Road, Parker, is facing charges of conspiracy and possession of an incendiary device after police found “pieces” of a potential explosive in the suspect’s home on July 5.

Tire terrorizing spree. At least 13 reports were taken of tires being slashed on cars in the parking lot of the condos in the 10700 block of Foxwood Court, Parker on June 29.

Habitual driving offender busted again. A man pulled over on suspicion of drunken driving in the 8700 block of Apache Plume Drive, Parker, on June 5 was found to have a suspended license. He was found to have drugs and drug paraphernalia in his possession in addition to driving without insurance and having several defects on his vehicle that made it unsafe. He was arrested.
