Re: July 26 news story.

Few within the “Bernie or Bust” movement, myself included, feel any necessity to unify around a candidate which the national party so clearly tipped the scales to benefit. The party has betrayed the trust of its voters, and not even the fear of Donald Trump can make me support this type of corruption. I will instead be taking my time and money to the Green Party, whose platform and ideals better align with my own. Jill Stein represents an extension of our movement beyond the walls of a two-party system. The Republican candidate is terrifying, but I am more scared of having the spirit of democracy subjugated right in front of me as I do nothing to rectify the situation.

Colorado Democratic delegate Kona Morris states that she won’t take responsibility for Donald Trump’s victory if she doesn’t vote for Hillary Clinton. Whether or not she feels responsible, she and all of us, and all of our children, and our children’s children will have to live with the consequences. Just as all of us are now living with the consequences after George W. Bush beat out Al Gore in 2000 with the help of Ralph Nader’s supporters. Those consequences include the hundreds of thousands who have died in the Iraq war and its collateral damage.
