A child was resuscitated at a public pool in Castle Rock on Monday and taken to a hospital.
The incident happened at about 4:45 p.m. at a pool in Crystal Valley Ranch, said Karen Carter, a Castle Rock police and fire department spokeswoman.
The child had been playing water games with friends when something went wrong. Castle Rock Fire and Rescue was called to the scene. Rescue workers and a lifeguard were able to resuscitate the child, who was described as being “responsive.”
