Lightning on Tuesday evening sparked a house fire in Castle Pines.
The home hit by lightning was on the 1000 block of Buffalo Ridge Way, according to South Metro Fire Rescue.
Firefighters quickly handled the “small fire,” and there were no injuries, South Metro said.
South Metro also fought a small brush fire Tuesday evening in the Daniels Park area.
Thunderstorms, with lightning and strong winds up to 50 mph, blasted through the area around 7 p.m.
