It will be hot in the Denver metro area on Monday with a chance of afternoon rain and thunderstorms.
The high will be around 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Temperatures will rise to the high 80s Tuesday through Thursday. Isolated rain and thunderstorms are expected each afternoon through the rest of the week.
On Friday, temperatures will drop into the 70s.
Both on Friday and Saturday the high is expected to be around 74, the NWS says.
It will warm up back into the lower 80s on Sunday.
