
Prostitution biz. A pair of July traffic stops related to a business in the 2100 block of West Evan Avenue, Englewood, lead to information indicating the business was a front for prostitution. On Aug. 5 officials with the Englewood Police, FBI and other agencies served a search warrant at the business and arrested a 39-year-old woman on undisclosed charges.
Drunken driver wreaks havoc. Police attempted to stop a car in Englewood on Aug. 9 after people reported that the woman driving may have been drunk. She eluded officers, crashing the car while speeding near the corner of South Bannock Street and West Kenyon Avenue. The driver then fled on foot before being apprehended a short time later.
Bike burglar doubles down. A man living in the 7600 block of Landmark Way, Greenwood Village, called police on Aug. 14 after he found that the lock on the storage unit he rents from his building had been cut off. The only items inside the unit were two bikes, valued at a combined $1,000. Both were stolen.
Thief finds bounty in unlocked car. An unidentified suspect entered a woman’s unlocked car in the 5900 block of South Willow Way, Greenwood Village, sometime in the early morning hours of Aug. 20. The thief made off with her wallet from the center console, which contained her Social Security card. The keys to her place of work were also taken.
Speeder behind the wheel. Police pulled over a driver at an undisclosed location in Englewood on Aug. 4 and found meth in his car. He was arrested.
