Police in Federal Heights are searching for a suspect vehicle after a 35-year-old woman was found Thursday afternoon bleeding from a gunshot wound to her head.
Investigators say she was discovered about 4:45 p.m. on the 1300 block of West 84th Avenue by officers responding to reports of a woman in a car who was bleeding from her mouth. There they found the victim who was taken to Denver Health Medical Center in critical condition.
“A firearm was not located at the scene and the incident is being investigated as an attempted homicide,” Federal Heights police said in a Friday news release.
Police are searching for a older model red pickup truck with Colorado license plates beginning with 047 that was seen leaving the area.
