Re: “,” Sept. 13 Eugene Robinsoncolumn.
Taking Eugene Robinson’s column a step further, why should Donald Trump be considered a legitimate presidential candidate when he does not follow years of precedent and release his tax returns? His own running mate has done so without protest. So has Hillary Clinton. As Robinson writes, Trump’s excuse that he cannot do so while being audited is bogus.
Why should Clinton engage in debates with Trump when, in effect, she has one hand tied behind her back? Clinton should immediately announce that she will not appear on the debate stage with Trump unless and until he releases those tax returns. And the Republican Party should disown Trump unless he does so.
