Denver purchases a warehouse for a new overflow homeless shelter that will not require busing people as far as the old facility. Working-class neighborhood residents in Sun Valley don’t display the NIMBYism of middle-class and upper-class neighborhoods, and welcome the homeless. Everything seems great — until we find out that the city paid $4.1 million for the building, a 78 percent profit for the owner in two years.
Even when this administration does something right, it manages to mess it up.
