A woman died east of Denver after a vehicle hit her in the roadway of westbound Interstate 70 on Wednesday, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The accident happened at about 3:20 p.m. near Manilla Road, Trooper Nate Reid said. The woman was airlifted to a hospital where she died. Manilla Road is about 12 miles east of E-470.
The investigation is ongoing.
