There is a 20 percent chance for rain after 1 p.m. in Denver. The high temperature will be around 76 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Steady winds of between 7 and 14 mph are expected with gusts up to 21 mph, according to the NWS.
Early Wednesday morning there a slight chance for morning drizzle as a cold front moves into Colorado. The low temperature overnight will be about 38 degrees.
The high temperature Wednesday afternoon will only be about 56 degrees, a 20-degree drop from Tuesday.
It will be mostly cloudy and breezy, with gusts up to 24 mph. The chance for precipitation is 20 percent.
The colder weather will be a one-day interlude as temperatures will perk back up on Thursday, climbing to a high of 72 degrees.
The warming trend will continue on a sunny Friday, with a high of about 79 degrees, NWS forecasters predict.
The highs will remain in the mid-to-upper 70s through the weekend under mostly sunny skies.
There will be a slight chance for rain on Monday. The high will be near 71 degrees, the NWS forecast says.
