
Re: Sept. 25 sports story.
After reading your article, I wanted to let your readers know that I don’t think itap right for people to sit or kneel during the national anthem. Players like T.J. Ward and Brandon Marshall, along with Colin Kaepernick, should figure out another way to get their point across.
I understand where the protest is coming from and I do agree that everyone should be treated equal. However, there are other ways to get your point across without being disrespectful to the flag.
Most NFL players want to stop police violence. A way they can help the situation, while being respectful, might be to talk to schools and the press about whatap happening. What they’re doing now isn’t bringing many people on board. I think it’s time for NFL players to stand and show respect for the flag again.
