A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Denver on Friday and the driver fled the scene.
The hit-and-run incident happened at about 7 p.m. at the intersection of East 6th Avenue and Monaco Boulevard, according to the Denver Police Department.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to local hospital.
Police did not release an immediate description of the vehicle.
Eastbound lanes of 6th Avenue were shut down because of the incident.
