Authorities in El Paso County have charged two juveniles in connection with a death threat against students, faculty and guests at Falcon High School.
The county sheriff’s office said on Oct. 7, the school’s resource deputy learned of the threat circulating on social media stating that instructions must be followed or teachers, students, principals and even guests would be killed on Halloween.
“Through the course of our investigation, (we) were able to track down the source of this threat,” the sheriff’s office said Friday. “Charges have been filed against the two juveniles responsible.”
The pair is accused of interfering with students or faculty at a school and harassment.
“We feel there is no longer a valid threat to Falcon High School and (we) would like to remind all parents to be monitoring your children’s social media accounts,” the sheriff’s office said.
