A page has been set up to raise money for the fiancée and unborn child of a Cimarron Hills paramedic-firefighter who died Saturday at his home after being injured recently during training, the department said.

Jermaine Frye, 31, had been hospitalized after a recent on-duty injury. He was released from the hospital Friday evening but went into cardiac arrest at his home Saturday afternoon, the department said in a news release.

Wescott Fire Protection District first responders tried unsuccessfully to revive him with CPR, Russ Kane, deputy chief at the Cimarron Hills Fire Department, said Saturday.

Frye also had worked as a firefighter and paramedic in Aurora.
