Denver tied a 66-year-old heat record early Halloween afternoon in the Denver metro area and it should stay very mild for trick or treaters in the evening.
The record high temperature of 79 degrees was originally set in 1950.
Early trick-or-treaters will enjoy temperatures in the 60s. Temperatures will dip into the 50s later in the evening, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

It will be a bit breezy with gusts up to 24 mph in the afternoon.
The low temperature Monday night will drop to around 41 degrees, according to the NWS.
On Tuesday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high of around 66 degrees.
The high will dip to 59 degrees on Wednesday, before temperatures begin a gradual climb that will last throughout the weekend, meteorologists from the NWS predict.
It will be sunny or mostly sunny Thursday through Sunday, with high temperatures in the high 60s to low 70s, the NWS says.
