Ammon Bundy, center, one of the sons of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, walks off after speaking with reporters during a Jan. 4 news conference at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge headquarters near Burns, Ore.Re: Oct. 27 news story.
Unbelievable! I cannot believe that the armed group occupying the nationalwildlife refuge in Oregon was found innocent of all charges. I have had the privilege of serving as the superintendent of two national parks — one in South Dakota and one in Utah — and cannot imagine what the response would have been if a national park had been occupied in such a manner. The disrespect shown to the American public by such an action for lands managed by the federal government on behalf of our citizens is an outrage and should be treated accordingly.
